Lanelle Devlin
I started building “spec homes” in 1998 and have built a total of 5 homes and remodeled another and I am slowly working on my own home as well. I love building and figuring out how things work so I have done much of my own “handyman” work since my first apartment in 1985.
I have worn many hats in my many different careers: Radio announcer, legal secretary, UPS driver, waitress, camp cook, office manager, program assistant, RF Technical Support Engineer, property developer, mommy to Zane who is almost 3 years old and now Handy Mom
I specialize in doing what others either can’t do themselves, don’t want to do themselves or simply don’t have time to do themselves. And I’ll do it right. I have a great attention to detail and I’m not satisfied until you’re satisfied. If you have a vision of something you’d like to do but aren’t sure how…I can help bring it to life. If you’re on a budget I can help you get the biggest bang for your buck using recycled/second hand items or help you make your own “treasures” brand new.

As she was finishing her degree at Chabot College she was approached by one of her Professors for a job with a prominent and well established family run manufacturing business in Alameda, CA as a Payroll Administrator. She accepted and soon found she loved doing payroll. To advance her career and training she was moved to Cost Accountant and cross trained on A/P. With the company sold to a national company and everyone receiving their pink slips, she moved to Silverdale, WA with her then fiancée (now husband) and began working as a Payroll Accountant for the timber and construction industries. During this time she became a Certified Payroll Professional which is awarded by the American Payroll Association after meeting eligibility requirements and a comprehensive 4 hour test. She then worked for a local CPA firm extending her training and experience in multiple industries. Companies change and she took on other responsibilities as Contract Administrator, Business Manager and Full-Charge Bookkeeper before taking on the biggest challenge of her life–starting her own bookkeeping and accounting business!
The CPP designation requires one must take CPE courses to keep the designation or retake the test every 5 years. Continuing education in the field of Payroll are a must!
